Please help me. I can't see two thing about the contents about the news of health.

This is the news about the information of Health.
I almost understand that contents of it. but I can't see  two underlined thing below.

Question1.
Speaking of #1you may eat in your sleep without even knowing it.
I don't know what it means and what it is. I think it indicates the front written sentences,"you sleep longer...........to fewer calories burned" ,right?
but What's the mean of "you may eat in your sleep"??

Question2.
Why did the news say #2? I can see what the #2 is. but I can't understand why the news say #2.

Please help me..

-------------------The scripts go like:

How to break bad habits that secretly are making you fat. Losing weight maybe as simple as shaking up your routine.
You will need big breakfasts, moderate drinking habits, leisurely dining, and comfortable shoes.
Step one. Don't scrimp on breakfast. In one study, participants who ate a six hundred calorie breakfast rich in carbohydrates and protein lost more weight over eight months than those who had a much smaller low carb meal.

Step two. Don't save up your boozing for the weekend. A study of two thousand three hundred drinkers found that those who drink a large amount in one night had higher levels of abdominal fat than those who consumed a similar amount of alcohol, but spread it out over several days.

Step three. Start savoring your meals. Because it takes around twenty minutes for a full stomach to actually feel full, gulping down your food means you'll usually accidentally eat more food than you need.

Step four. Ladies, save those sexy stilettos for special occasions. People who wear comfortable shoes burn more calories per day because, duh, they walk more.
Step five. A plain cup of coffee has no fat and only a few calories, but a small latte likely has around ten grams of fat and a couple hundred calories.
Add skim milk to coffee instead of cream. It has less fat and calories.

Step six. Wean yourself off sleeping medications. Their contribution to weight gain is threefold: you sleep longer, meaning less activity; you may be sluggish during the day, leading to fewer calories burned;
#1.and you may eat in your sleep without even knowing it.

#2. Did you know? According to one study, women whose husbands have more schooling than they do are thinner than those with less educated spouses.

Without further context, my interpretation of the statements marked as "#1" and "#2", is that they are sidelight information only to the previous text, and have no direct relation to it. They are about eating and weight and so they are nominally related to the previous text, but they are sidelights only and have no real connection to anything in the previous text. "

ljswaveyou may eat in your sleep without even knowing it.
This is meant literally -- People who take certain prescription sleeping pills have been known to get up while still sleeping, walk around their house, go to the refrigerator and eat snacks, without ever being aware of it.
