Some people say cultural traditions are destroyed when they are used as money-making attractions aimed at tourists. Others say this is the only way to save such traditions. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Today, tourism plays an important role in a country's economy because of its benefits, such as income generation for people and the government. As a result, some people believe that cultural traditions are being destroyed for the aim of monetizing. In contrast, some people believe that this is a way to protect them from being forgotten. In my opinion, both views are correct.

First, let’s discuss how tourists can destroy cultural traditions. Many governments can not control the influx of tourists visiting destinations. This leads to irreversible damage to cultural heritage. The second problem is the consciousness (behaviors, manner, or etiquette) of the tourists. Some people write their names on rocks or on statues where they visit as a mark of their arrival. Some tourist areas such as hotels and restaurants are built next to the ancient ruins, affecting their structures. For example, the construction of large hotels near Angkor Wat has raised the underground water level below the temples, and they are at risk of subsidence.

On the contrary, some people believe that tourism is a way for cultural traditions not to be forgotten. The increase in the number of tourists provides a stable income source for the government to restore and protect heritage. Countries can spread their cultural and religious values ??to the international tourist community. For example, many people in Bat Trang's village make a living by selling traditional ceramic products, and through tourism, they can continue this handicraft. Finally, when cultural tourism is well-managed, it is possible to revive the tradition and restore ancient monuments. For instance, Nha Trang - one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vietnam - is famous for the Champa people's relics that the Vietnamese government has preserved to this day.

In conclusion, cultural traditions as a money attraction have both positive and negative effects on their preservation. In my opinion, we should manage these monuments rationally and scientifically so that they do not disappear.
