It is impossible to help all people in the world, so governments should only focus on people in their
own countries. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In several individuals’ viewpoints that helping all needy people all around the globe might be an
impossible mission to the governments, and therefore governments should solely concentrate on
satisfying local needs. I strongly disagree with this view.
First and foremost, in light of the 21st century which increases the possibility of providing international
or domestical aid quickly and efficiently. Modern means of transport enable government agencies to
contribute medicines and food within hours to deprived regions. Some remarkable examples of how
humanity is the government assistance when alleviating the underprivileged’s difficulty and saving their
lives. For instance, in Africa where citizens are facing the threat of famine or contagions, the response of
governments around the world are prompt. Very fast, supplies of food and vaccines arrived by air and
also the army of doctors come there to give the people a hand. Nonetheless, I have a minimal opinion
that leaders of a country should prioritize the well-being of their citizens and stabilize their economy and
politics before carrying out any acts of global assistance.
On the other hand, it is wrong for authorities to only pay attention to their citizens in the age of
connection. Firstly, a catastrophe for the country tend to seriously affect to different international
locations . A typical example for this is that the nuclear disaster in Japan in the year of 2014 cause
tremendous damage to nations having coastline. Therefore, most nations have to work relentlessly to
assist Japan in support of disaster recovery. Secondly, by offering useful resources to other countries,
the governments obtain many valuable experiences which allows their nations to have good preparation
for coping with disasters. Ultimately, the actions of helping people outside territories would increase
their credibility in the eyes of international friends.
In conclusion, it is true that we are unable to help everyone, but in my opinion should not stop us from
helping those who are in need.
