IN THE LAST CENTURY, THE FIRST MAN TO WALK ON THE MOON SIAD IT WAS A GIANT LEAP OF MANKIND. HOWEVER SOME PPL THINK IT HAS MADE LITTLE DIFFRENCE TO OUR DAILY LIVES
It’s often argued that the first manned lunar landing has been no of benefits to the day-to-day life. While I accept that it’s undeniable in pratical terms, i believe that the psychological impact of this scientific achievemnt should not be underestimated.
On the one hand, the fact that human set their first footstep on the moon nearly has brought little practical meaning to the lives of ordinary people. Apparently,a such space research undertaken needs a huge expenses along with the implementation of advanced technology, futher adding to the cost incurred. However, when compared to the outcome, it doen’t prove to be cost-effective. In fact, while govermnets waste a lot of money on space travel, in many areas of the world, several people are unable to meet even basic needs. for example, in spite of The USA is the country which has the first man to walk on the moon, poor and middle people there are still suffering from poor education and illness because these services are beyond their paying capacity.
On the other hand, although this achievement seems pointless in practical terms, I believe that its impact on human psychology is hard to ignore. First, it marks a milestone in human history and in turn show us that we can achieve anything we put our minds to.Inevitably, sending a man to the moon partly break previous superstitions about this planet and prove that human can not only be the masters of the Earth but are able to explore beyond the bounds of earth. Moreover, space travel needs the use of high-end technology, including specalized communication devices, small computers and other space equipments. Thus it has the potential to drive innovation and pave the way to science and technology breakthoughs in the future.
In brief, while acknowledging the fact that a man step on the moon might not have had a direct effect on our daily lives, I would claim that it has been an inspiring achievement.
