These days, some museums charge for admittance whereas others liberate. I firmly believe that this has more benefits than drawbacks.

A major disadvantage of charging people for visiting the museums that it may reduce the proportion of the visitors. This can be explained by the fact that the museums where people can visit to get more information and knowledge about the culture and history, but high fee entrance an discourage the visitors to come there because probably they prefer to pay for other more popular and exciting places and means of entertainment. In addition to this, fee admission is an obstacle for the low-income inhabitants and the students who study about the culture and history want to get experiences by the exhibitions.

Despite this, there are some great advantages of demanding of entrance the museums. It can be argued that charging for access can help the museums maintain and develop. This is because that the money earned from selling the tickets can be beneficial for the maintenance of the museums because it has to expend on hiring professionals and buy equipments. Moreover, if there is not charge for admittance the museums, the visitors may likely think that the artworks in the museums is priceless due to “There is no free lunch” and can attenuate the value of this place.

In conclusion, although charging for visiting the museums can attract fewer the visitors in some cases, considering the purpose of the museums and cover the expenditure it requires, entry fee seems to be more advantages than disadvantages.
