Please help me correct this essay - IELTS WRITING TASK 2
Some say that because the Internet has made a lot of information accessible, it is not important to learn facts related to history or science anymore. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is often said that information on the Internet is easy to access, so learning history or science from facts is no longer important. In my opinion, I completely disagree with this idea, and I think getting knowledge from facts has some great benefits that we couldn't find from the Internet.
There are several obvious drawbacks of accessing online information brings. Firstly, finding articles related to history or science on the internet would be a time-consuming work because of a huge sea of information online. Secondly, with such enormous online data sources, it would be difficult for leaners to choose and find out reliable ones that entirely provide trustworthy knowledge. For example, fake news is a common notion to people nowadays, although we could see much information from various websites, some ones out of those are real and reliable. Finally, people would tend to be attracted and distracted by entertaining forms online than concentrating one hundred percent on studying.
I believe that absorbing history or science knowledge from facts has still played an indispensable part in people’s studying journey. Historical events and figures would become more lively and vivid than ever through telling of predecessors or witnessing historical items and artefacts in museums. Furthermore, we would be more proud and aware of the importance of science knowledge through seeing it has been applied in our daily life and got many accomplishments.
In conclusion, my view is that although knowledge is easily accessible by using internet, it also brings some disadvantages for leaners in searching for information online, and it is wrong to underestimate the importances of studying history or science from facts.
