Please Help Me Correct This Essay And Give Comments. Thank You.

I have to write an academic essay for my C1 grammar course. The focus point of the essay is correct grammar, but I'll be very happy if you correct the whole essay and give me comments. Thank you very much.

TOPIC: What are the reasons that prompted you to become an English-major student?

I had never thought of becoming an English-major student before, as I used to dislike English. Nevertheless, when I was in high school, it came as a complete surprise to me that I gradually loved this language. There are several significant reasons that have prompted me to become an English-major student.

The first reason is that I like the feeling of talking to foreign people. When I talked to a foreign person the first time, it dawned on me that the feeling of talking in another language was great. At that time, I could just say simple words and phrases such as self-introduction and greetings. Since then, I have studied English harder so that I can communicate with individuals from other countries.

It was when I entered high school that I realized English is an interesting language. Before that time, I reckoned that English was boring and I hated it. However, when I entered high school, I was taught by a very talented and dedicated English teacher. That talented teacher made me change my mind. She helped me realize that English is not a boring subject but an interesting language. Then I started to love it, and I was truly happy and excited while learning English.

Last but not least, I aspire to become an English interpreter. From wanting to talk to foreign people, I realized that helping people who speak different languages ??understand each other is awesome. The moment I realized that I started to find out more about interpreting. I was aware that interpreting is hard and that it requires proficient skills. Despite the challenges, I believe that interpreting is a very promising profession. I, therefore, have been pursuing my dream of becoming an interpreter.

In a nutshell, there are three major reasons that made me dream of becoming an English-major student: the desire to communicate with foreign people, the realization of how interesting English is, and the yearning to become an English interpreter. These factors have caused me to change from a hater of English to a lover of the language.
