As a matter of fact, working from a distance has been an increasing tendency all over the world that gradually replaced the traditional method. From a personal vantage point, this direction can bring both benefits and drawbacks.

On the one hand, it is no exaggeration to say that being employed from home offers enormous benefits. One of the undoubtable roles relates to the flexibility. On the grounds that work patterns can follow varied schedules, workers are asked to work their fingers to the bone at hectic times and given time off when the workload is alleviated. Its ability can be strengthened by a non-stop advance of technology industry. To illustrate, a host of portable device such as smart phone, private laptop, tablet and so forth have unfolded the possibility of access to work through the Internet easily. Therefore, it can shield employees from squandering a plenty of time and labor resource. Another positive side is that in comparison with working from home, commuting to an office requires a prolonging route that can be considered a main culprit of increased traffic density and exhaust fumes. Hence, working from a distance is likely to reserve natural resources and contributes to a reduction in contamination levels. Therefore, it is quite element that working from home is taking over the position of conventional method progressively.

On the other hand, this trend can also have some negative repercussions. The main outstanding point regards the poor workplace environment. This situation tend to be more severe when it come up with certain complicated projects. On the basis of an interrupted interaction, the co-operative process among colleagues can be affected significantly and lead to a decrease in working quality. Another downside of being employed from home relates the fact that a various online resources can put temptation in employees’ way and they can neglect their work more frequent as well. Additionally, an intensive workload can be considered hard for them to thrive under pressure and make them to be bored out of their minds. Therefore, this tendency offers some negative sides in terms of communication and workers’ spirit.

All things considered, I strongly believe that working from a distance offers both positive and negative sides. However, providing that problems can be recognized and managed well, the merits can outweigh the demerits.
