“Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm”. This is one of the most famous quotes of Wintons Churchchill that inspired me to overcome my tough challenges in becoming an economic freshmen at Foreign Trade University-FTU. Therefore, dressing FTU uniform is the great pride for someone who deserves to gain appreciation of the first-rate employers after graduating.

It was the national university entrance in 2013 that I faced with such terrible feelings. I still remember exactly that my result only lacked 0.5 mark to get a chance to get inside that school gate. If else, my student life had not ever been suffered from such heavy losses. Notably, my father deeply disappointed about my result, but, my mother, she still sympathized with me and couldn’t help encouraging me to be calm and helping me make a suitable choice for the next step: (1)follow the major of International Law in University of Law Hochiminh City because I had another chance to begin a the school term in this school; (2)spend one more year making a dream of being FTU-er come true. As a venture capital investor, I chose one year gap to pratice increasingly in order to upgrade my knowledge and skills. In the same way, after this stage, it was definitively proved that failure was not always bad that I had thought.

At the beginning of this gap year, I spent lots of time to overcome my uncomfortable feeling which prevented me from a breakthrough for a huge change. Furthermore, the passion in my heart urged me to study from my mistakes attentively. Then, I analyzed carefully which had caused my failure and identified specific issues that I needed to correct when repuisuing my goals again.

From this above progress, the main reason leading to my failure was my lack of time-management. In the last year in high school, I and another close friend established a volunteer group for the ethnic community in my hometown. It took most of my free time to build our group’s project, raise sponsorship from the local companies. I still remember that our group had gained $5000 worth of food for the hunger and a number of the poor could be helped.

However, “every coin has to sides” and the time for my education was narrowed down. Therefore, I could not keep pace with the effort of my outstanding friends. I determined to improve my self-leadership. To say more clearly, all activities in everyday, week, month would be arranged reasonably based in the principle of balance between the duration and its efficiency that I had targeted.

If time came back, I would try my best to catch this chance because time is invaluable. I respect the importance of time every single moment which may strengthen a hard working person. Nevertheless, I was so grateful because failure is my good indeed teacher; no one has taught me by such visual ways. Right now, I do notice each moment that can bring lots of opportunities to me, one of these is the great chance to be an intern in SCG. I sincerely hope your company can provide me with the chance to study. Your sophisticated lessons and my own efforts will help me to grow into a broad-minded economic student and professional employee in the very near future.
