The Manager

Windermere Wildside Adventure Holidays,

Wildside Hall, Ambleside, Cumbria

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have just returned from Windermere WILDSIDE Adventure Holidays organized by your travel company and I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with features which did not conform to your advertisement I had seen in Travel Magazine.

Initially, adventure games did not live up to my expectations. It was described that a variety of thrilling activities would be conducted every day while there were only canoeing and hang-gliding taking place repeatedly during the holiday. Undeniably, these activities were well-organized and exciting, but they were not of my interest. On the contrary, I expected to participate in other sports such as windsurfing or sailing, but neither of them was organized.

A further complaint concerns teamwork activities. I did have a three-day camping expedition and two problem-solving activities. Unfortunately, it was such a heavy rain that I hardly joined in outdoor activities. Furthermore, team players frequently lost their temper after the loss of a battle, even shouted at other members. Apparently, the bad weather and participants’ aggressive behaviors were unavoidable; however, it would not have happened if you had updated the weather forecast for the selected place.

Another complaint I would like to make is about the accommodation. In place of residential center ‘Wildside Hall’, I had to stay in a remote youth hostel with noisy dormitories. To make matter worse, it was a seven-mile distance to the advanced location, Wildside Hall due to no transportation available. Moreover, nothing but table tennis and a pack of carols were our main sources of entertainment. Added to all this, we were not offered a choice of dishes, not mention mouth-watering mountainous meals by qualified kitchen staff as expected.

As a customer, I feel strongly disappointed with both the facilities and the service I have received. Hence, I look forward to a reply and an appropriate resolution from you to these problems mentioned above. I hope that I will not be forced to take further action.

Yours faithfully,

Thanh.
