Please help me correct the announcement

Please help me correct it in terms of vocabulary use, grammar and formality.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Elevator is suspended on Saturday and Sunday.

Because of our children’s hyperactivity in using the elevator on weekend days, Board of Directors decided to suspend the elevator from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm for two days (on Saturdays and Sundays) to ensure our children’s safety.

I'd like to tell you that elevators are always suspended. There are steel cables that lift the elevators up and down. That is just how they work. Elevators are suspended (they hang) on cables.

Perhaps you mean that the elevators will be put out of service.

Elevator service will be suspended on Saturday and Sunday
The Elevator will be out of service on Sat
