Essay & Composition Writing

Please help me correct my writing, thank in advance!

Topic: Some people think that it is more beneficial to take part in sports which are played in teams, like football, while other people think that taking part in individual sports like tennis or swimming is better. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

My essay:

People have different views about the benefits of some types of sport for the player. While some people believe that solo sports are likely to benefit people more, I do personally think that people receive many vital values from team sports.

There are various reasons why people think that people should play individual sports. Firstly, if people choose to play solo sports, they might have opportunities to develop their independence. That can be explained that when people play these sports such as swimming, tennis, and so on, they have to be forced to make decision by themselves, as a result, their independent thinking is also boosted. Secondly, everyone who has played solo sports certainly knows that their rewards totally depend on their personal effort, determination, and concentration. Therefore, solo players could exploit their potential ability as possible as they can.

In spite of these arguments, I strongly believe that there are many incredible benefits that people who play sports in a team would gain. These sports teach their players valuable life lessons that they never learn from individual sports. Take the football for an instance, in order to reach the common goals, football players have to learn how to collaborate efficiently with their peers rather than just concerning to their own needs. Moreover, team sports also train people about leadership skills. These life skills are not only necessary in sports but only are the fundamental qualifications in this competitive era.

In conclusion, I assert that teams sport’s advantages outweigh solo sport’s ones both personal and professional perspectives.
