please help me correct my sentences, thank you

Hi 
I made some sentences, but I am not sure whether they are right or not.
If you find something wrong in Grammar or vocabulary, help me check them.

1.I think that success originate from elaborate plans rather than brave ventures.
2.People try to alter the political climate, forcing the government to make a concession whose 
negotiations benefit them.
3. Only through a whole series of detailed plans did intellectuals attain their lifelong dream of a 
mature democratic nation established.
4.Businessmen try to predict what their rivals or competitors are going to do and think of what 
his company can revise to compete against them.
