Please help me correct my IELTS WRITING cam 14 - test 3 - task 2

Topic: Some people say that environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. others say that there are more important environmental problems.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

There is controversial debate over the extinction of flora and fauna that is considered as the most hazardous issue in modern age. Nonetheless, the skeptical hold the view that the environment is facing more severe obstacles than endangered species. In my perspective, I am partly convinced with both statements.

It is an undeniable fact that plants and animals play an essential role in the conservation of environment. For instance, parrotfish is gifted a perfect digestion which daily produces a great amount of sand, estimated for 400 kg per day. Unfortunately, it is reported that due to the reviews from some Youtubers about the taste of this fish, the fishing industries embark in hunting this useful kind. As a consequence, there has been a dramatic decrease in its population as well as the lack of sand. It is obvious that if parrotfish becomes extinct, the environment will be excessively influenced.

On the other hand, the governments of developed countries out greater concern on global warming as the danger of environment than on the disappear of natural species since 20s. To be more specific, the increase of temperature in recent years has altered the climate in several areas, especially in those with iceberg such as Greenland and Arctic. As a consequence, an enormous amount of water is melted and causes hundreds of floods in global. In addition, climate change resulted in the bushfire in Amazon, Brazil in 2019, not for long, another was taken place in a forest of Queensland, Australia in the same year. Therefore, climate has the priority over flora and fauna's protection on account that it had incredible impacts on human's survival, finance and politics in countries.

In conclusion, environment is suffering from human's activities which not only get rid of plants and animal lives but also devastate the habitat of Mother Nature. Despite the numerous environment difficulties, the leaderships have put effort into addressing climate problems rather than the risk of threatened species
