There are several merits of putting older individuals in care and nursing homes. The institutions have the benefit of providing professional care to their clients. In other words, services such as medical and nursing care are offered to the enrolled individuals besides routine care. For example, clients in need of wound care have the advantage of receiving effective wound cleaning and dressing as opposed to their counterparts at home. In addition, families find institutional care to be advantageous as they can focus on other roles.For instance, they will have ample time to develop their careers and look after their nuclear family. This therefore, will enable them to have undivided attention.
