Nowadays, the issue of juvenile delinquents has come to the focus of public attention. The reasons which result in this situation are complicated. However, there are several measures which can be taken to tackle this problem.

To begin with, the employment situation may be one of factors leading to the increase in juvenile delinquents. According to the survey, most young offenders are school leavers without experience and skills. In high unemployment rate, it is extremely hard to hunt a job for them. Thus, they will lose income and even self-respect. Then, the jobless young are easy to earn income through shoplifting, thefts and other illegal activities. By contrast, if they have a job, it is harm for them to have friends who commit crimes.

Secondly, another reason is the lack of loving care and attention. Currently, a large number of parents must spend most time on their job so that their children only watch TV and play on-line games at their free time. They have increasingly access to offensive material such as obscene TV programs and violence game. Lacking proper moral guidance and efficient communication, some ones go astray.

Given the scale and severity of “juvenile delinquents”, we must take immediate measures to tackle this problem. In the first place, government might provide some practical courses and occupations for school leavers. Furthermore, it should censor offensive material which is harmful to physical and mental health of the teenagers. In addition, parents should spend more time on guiding their children.

In conclusion, although the problem of juvenile delinquents may seem impossible to eliminate, there are concrete steps that can be taken to weaken the effect on society. The danger from young crimes is too great to ignore.
