Currently, with the better life than before, people have more interests to go to the movies. Given the choice between agreeing or disagreeing with the statement that only movies that can teach us something about real life is worth watching, which one do I choose? Some people would choose the answer is right. However, I totally disagree that only movies that can teach us something about real life is worth watching. There are three reasons stated below :

First of all, it is sci-fi movie that can make our imagination run wild and broaden our horizons. Take one of the popular movies “Hollow Man” as an example, it is the movie talking about a scientist takes the medicine making himself become a invisible man. Not only can he do anything what he likes by this knack, but he uses this knack to do illegal things. This thought-provoking movie notices every scientist to think more carefully before inventing a new technology.

What’s more, it is comedy movie that can help us laugh out and relive the pressure from work or study. As far as I concern, comedy movie could not teach us something about real life, because the plot in comedy movie is always ridiculous to make our laugh. Nevertheless, I believe that watching the comedy movies is a good way to reduce our depression, and make us healthier. According to the recent research, not merely can watching comedy cause pressure to drop, but also can lower our cholesterol.

Most important, it is whatever types of movies can help us to make the closer connection with our family and friends. Going to the movie together, we can enjoy the happy time in watching the same movie or talking the movie’s plots. Therefore, although educational movies are worth watching, we cannot deny the other types of movies actually benefiting us.

To sum up, I totally disagree that only movies that can teach us something about real life is worth watching, among the reasons making our imagination run wild, reducing the pressure from work, and helping us to make the closer connection with our family and friends.
