Please help me correct it!

The soccer ball that I own is an inseparable thing, reminding me a lot of great memories. When I was a child, I was very passionate about sports, especially football. Therefore, possession of a ball is a dream cherished hard to come true because my family is too poor. My parents were not really able to satisfy my passion. One day, my father came home from work and took something that was put in a black bag, he handed it to me and really surprised me. A ball, it's red, smaller than the ball of the players usually play but I feel really happy to receive it. My father is a caring person, especially a child, but he has never shown it. He worked hard to buy that ball for me. That makes me even happier. The ball was worth 1$ at that time but for me, it was really invaluable. When I remember about my family, remembering my father when I was away, I brought the ball out as a comfort, a spiritual encouragement for me in this stuffy life.
