The consumption of the world’s resources (oil and water etc) is increasing at a dangerous rate. What are causes and solutions?
Nowadays, with the overpopulation and the increasing production of factory, the world’s resource such oil and water is consuming at an alarming rate. There are several causes for this issue and government and each individual should take responsibility to reduce the consumption.
On the one hand, the overpopulation and the increasing production of factory are two main reasons causing the overconsumption. Firstly, ever since the industrial revolution took off in 18 century, vast qualities of natural resources have been used to power the economy and deliver unprecedented affluence to huge number of people.. In US is typical example, the exploitation of fossil fuel increases from 3 million tons in 1987 to 12 million in 2000. Secondly, the population growth is another causes lead to the overuse of natural resources. The increase of population means the increase of basic need such water, electricity and consumption good, which needs for daily live activities. Consequently, the natural resources have to over consume in older to provide human benefits, which could have negative effects on the environment and the world resource might be exhausted as an inevitability.
On other hand, governments and each individual play a vital role in solving the issue above. To begin with, governments should invest money to find and develop renewable energy replaces primary energy such oil or electricity, which accounted for 60 % of world energy consumption. Each solar panels could generate 1Kw/1 m2, therefore, by installing sun power system, average moth bill could reduce 30 %. Secondly, Each individual should have responsibility for the impact they have on environment as well as save energy and resource. For instance, in my city, authorities launched the 2R campaign encourages people to reuse and recycle plastic bag, which can help reduce waste and reduce the negative effects on the environment.
Many people believe that international tourism is bad thing for their country. What are the reasons? Solution to change negative attitudes.
Nowadays, the tourism industry is developing with a high rate, which brings a number of benefits for host countries. However, the attitudes of the local towards the global tourism is negative. There are several reasons for this issue, and governments should take steps to change the negative attitudes of the locals.
On the one hand, I can understand why people in host countries often think that international tourism brings bad things for their countries. Firstly, tourism from over the world may be insensitive toward the feelings of local and residents, which could have negative effects on the traditional customs and indigenous practices. For instance, some Western tourists wear unsuitable clothes or explode too much skins when they come to visit some scared places in Viet Nam. Consequently, it could lead to negative attitudes and irritation in the locals. Secondly, tourists often pollute and litter beauty spots and several famous destinations such Cua Lo beach in Viet Nam, have been spoiled by this lack of respect for the local environment.
On the other hand, several solutions should be imposed to change the negative attitudes of the local toward international tourism. To begin with, governments should explain for the local known the benefits, international tourism contributes to the development of local economy from services to foods they used. For instance, in Viet Nam, the money earning from international tourism accounted for 30 % GDP in 2015. Furthermore, It would be better to enhance the awareness of tourist toward they visited another country. Tourist should learn the local tradition as well as the taboo of the host countries, which avoid cultural conflict and help them establish a closer link with the host community. As a result, it could lead to greater integration and mutual understanding.
