Please help me checking Task 1 Essay.

The bar chart below shows the numbers of men and women attending various evening courses at an adult education centre in the year 2009. The pie chart gives information about the ages of these course participants.

The provided bar chart compares the numbers of man and women participating in different evening courses, including Drama, Painting, Sculpture and Language at an education centre in 2009. And the pie chart shows the percentage of those attendees’ ages.

Overall, the numbers of women who took part in the courses are higher than the same figure for men. Moreover, people aged 50 or over made up the most proportion among the participants.

The numbers of women engaging in the Drama and Language courses were 20 and 40 people respectively which were twice as much as those figures for men, with 10 and 20 people in the same categories. In contrast, only 5 female participants joined in the Sculpture course, while the number of men taking part in this course was 10 people. The course which most men enrolled in was Painting course, with 25 people; however, the figure for women in this field was even higher, with 30 people attending.

The majority of participants were in the age of 50 or over, accounting for 42 per cent. Following was the people who were 40 to 49 years old, with 26%. On the contrary, the proportion of under-20-year-olds was only 5%, compared to 16% and 11% of that figure for 30-to-39-year-old adults and people who were in their 20s.
