The charts demonstrate how much water was used for several purposes in six distinct are of the world.
At first glance, it is valid to say that although the percentage of water used varies greatly but overall, agricultural purpose consumes the most water.
South America, Africa and the two areas in Asia used most of their water for agricultural purposes. Water for domestic purposes in these countries hover around 10%, but South America is an exception with almost a fifth. Industrial usage of water in these countries does not vary much, moving from the least 5% in Central Asia to the greatest of 12% in South East Asia.
Moving on to North America and Europe, these two countries have industrial as the most water-consuming area with 48% and 53% respectively. The two other fields do not have much difference ad domestic use in North America only less than 2% in Europe and agricultural use more than 7%.
