The generation gap between the older and younger people in most countries in the world is simply too wide to be bridged.
To what extend to you agree or disagree?
Many people appear to believe that it is clearly impossible to cross the generation differences. From my own perspective, I completely agree with this argument due to some below reasons.
The first and most crucial reason is the different experiences between the older and the younger generation. It might result in a lot of differences in viewpoint and lifestyle. For instance, a lot of aged people think having meals at home is healthy and also money-saving. Whereas the younger prefer to be served at restaurants because it saves their time and provides diversified choices. Having communicated with my grandmother a lot, I realized that the topic of the conversations of the two groups is clearly different. The older have a tendency to talk more about the past than the younger who are often interested in up-to-day news and receive a large amount of information every day.
Moreover, the old adults might be unable to keep up with the dramatic speed of today world developments. The sensory capacities of the old such as the ability to see and hear have been reduced a lot because of aging. Therefore, it must be extremely hard for them to use modern technology devices. On the other side, the younger nowadays are really into using social networks on the Internet such as Facebook or Twitter to keep in touch, and a lot of them might not have enough patience to write a letter by hand and send it through a post office.
In conclusion, I believe it is nearly unable to bridge the generation gap due to many differences caused by time. Despite these difficulties, I do think that the younger should attempt to shorten the space between the two generations.
