Some people say that too much attention and too many resources are given in the protection of wild animals and birds.

Do you agree or disagree about this opinion?

It is argued that protecting wild animals and birds is attracting too much concern and too many resources of society. I completely disagree with this point of view.

There are two main reasons why I think people haven’t paid too much attention to the protection of animals and birds. One reason is that absurd notions about wild animals and bird still exist and accepted by many people. For example, there are a number of elephants and rhinoceros are being killed every year because their horns are believed to be rare and racy while they just like fingernails, made of agglutinated hair. This proves that proper plant propagation has not carried out to the public. Furthermore, the habitat of animals is seriously being threatened by global warming, cutting down trees, which leads animals to the verge of extinction. Hence, only by strongly focusing on this issue, people around could become more aware of the necessary urgency of that and behave more responsible and involved.

In addition, spending too many resources on protecting wild animals and birds is not a waste of money. As we already know wild animals and birds play an important role in biodiversity. As a result, losing species of animals causes to the loss of the biodiversity, which will affect to nutrient cycle, soil contents and other no-biotic aspects that are disastrous consequences. Besides, they also contribute to many fields of human benefits such as medicine, tourism industry, sources of artistic inspiration and so on. For example, raw Ptarmigan breast meat is eaten by chronically ill people who have lost their appetite. Therefore, the expenditure on protecting and saving animals is for ourselves.

In conclusion, I certainly argue that protecting wild animals and birds should be our top priorities in this modern world.
