Please help me check this essay

In entrance exams to high school, besides match and literature candidates are required to answer test questions about other subjects like Physics, chemistry, history, geography, and Civics. What’s your opinion about this way of testing?

From the field of education, integrating natural science subjects with social ones remains a point of contention among contemporary societies. From my perspective, I oppose that this testing procedure is beneficial due to the following reasons.

Firstly, the process of these tests proves grueling. Particularly, that students have to take online courses during the Covid-19 pandemic causes great difficulty for them in the acquisition of knowledge. Additionally, along with the compulsory education at school, most students not only have to join the extra classes to hone their studying skills but also do the assignment given by teachers at school. Therefore, incorporating the other subjects into the aptitude tests may deprive students of the time devoted to their social life and relaxation. Thus, students are likely to burn themselves out in the workload and contract mental diseases like autism and depression.

Secondly, applying these tests in this way is seemingly not efficient in improving the overall studying process of students. Specifically, the initial aim of the ministry of education in implementing those tests is to reduce the state of students’ cramming for exams. However, these cases are, in fact, still happening nowadays. To illustrate, currently, students tend to focus on the three main subjects (math, literature, foreign language) and cram for the fourth subject when knowing what that subject is. Consequently, the studying process seems not effective at all.

In conclusion, these aptitude tests are pointless according to the said downsides. Therefore, it is encouraged that the ministry of education should not railroad students into sitting for these tests.
