Please help me check this English grammar

His greatest ambition is (choose,take)___part in the Olympics
->to be choosen to take

I don't understand why it's wrong if I use simple present tense ( is chosen) or ( being chosen). Please explain this for me. Thank you!

chosen , not choosen . choosen is not a correct English word. You also need to end with a period.
