Essay & Composition Writing

Please help me check my writting. Thank you all in advance.

The lecture points out that the causes of crime shown in the reading are not entirely true. According to the reading, there are three reasons for crimes which are poverty, race, population, and the kinds of people. However, these are different from what the lecture said.
First, the lecture says that a poor community does not mean that it has more crimes than any others. It's true that if a lot of people have no jobs, the crime rate will rise. For example, however, in the US, when the economy was good and the employment was good, the crime rate still increased. Moreover, the crime rate decreased when the economy and unemployment was a problem. Therefore, the more poor community is, does not mean that the more crimes it has.
The second, contrary point is that the race is not a cause of crimes. Although crimes caused by the Blacks community are more than ones caused by the Whites community, the reason is not because of their race or their color. It's because there are more cases of broken families in the Blacks community.
Finally, the lecture says that the size of population has no effect on crime rate. The more broken families are there, the higher rate of crime it is. The broken family has its roots in everyone's childhood. When they were not shown love and affection from their parents, they became rebellious. As a result, they became violent members of society.
