Please help me check my writing task 2! Thanks

When designing a building, the most important factor is intended use of the
building rather than its outward appearance. To what extent do you agree or
disagree?

Some people believe that the most important aspect of designing a building is intended purpose rather than its exterior appearance. I do not agree that intended use should be the first priority of architecture.

Intended function of building is very important because it can affects styles, structures and other aspects of a house.Therefore, buildings with different uses should be constructed differently. Architects should focus on building’s function because it is the factor that decides how a building should be built. Other factors of building is to make a building serves its original function. If these factors do not follow the intended use, the building can not be used effectively.

On the other hand, outward appearance is an important aspect because it can attracts people and increases value of building. Despite its importance, appearance is not a priority when designing a building. A building with bad appearance can still serves its purpose. On the contrary, a building which can not be used is totally useless even it has outstanding appearance. For example, cheap houses for poor people usually do not have great exterior but can be shelters for many people. Additionally, focusing on a house’s appearance will be costly.

In conclusion, intended use is much more important than outward appearance when making a building.
