Please help me check my writing task 2.

Topic: Everyone should become vegetarian because they do not need to eat meat to have a healthy diet. Do you agree or disagree?

ANSWER:

Eating some kind of meats in meals is a familiar choice for many people. However, it is argued that it is not necessary for people to consume meat because they absolutely can eat vegetables to have a healthy diet. While I agree that plant food brings many benefits to people’s health, I believe that we cannot have a healthy life if we just consume greens for all meals.

First of all, vegetable is plant food which is good for people’s health. Because of richness in vitamins, minerals, and other health-promoting nutrients, consuming amount of vegetables enables human body to boost the immune system, avoid chronic illnesses such as obesity, forms of cancers, heart disease. Besides, some kinds of vegetables give us adequate nutrition to support our body. For examples, raw spinach including a huge amount of vitamins A, K, E can replace many kinds of food. Therefore, instead of eating different root or non-root vegetables to get those vitamins, what we need to do is just to consume a bowl of raw spinach in our meal.

However, all the meals are always occupied by only greens also can cause serious health problems. Nowadays, although vegetables are always available, they do not include nutrients as much as they did. According to reports, nutritive substances of plant food have been decreasing significantly due to abusing herbicide and chemical fertilizer for a long time. As a result, we have to suffer from lack of calories to meet our energy needs if we often maintain a vegetarian diet. Moreover, besides the nutrient shortage, the quality of vegetables is a noticeable issue when using chemicals to preserve food has become a fundamental principle in business in recent years. Thus, people choose to become a vegetarian is not always a smart decision, but a risky choice for our own health,

In conclusion, although food from plant source provides various nutrients, eating only plant food cannot build a balanced diet. Therefore, to be hale and hearty, people need to know how to combine a vegetarian with a non –vegetarian diet for their meals.
