The maps illustrate the changes that will be made to Southwest airport within the next year.

Overall, what stands out from the plans is that the airport is expected to be significantly expanded and redeveloped with the addition of ten more gates and multiple amenities being the most noticeable.

Turning to the details, it can be seen that there are 8 gates in the airport for now. However, in the following year, ten new gates will be constructed, and following that is the replacement of the walkway by a new sky train. Another interesting point is that a year from now, a shop will be built next to the exit of security passport control.

If we look at the departures and arrivals hall, there are more entrances that are going to be added next year, in comparison to one entry for each hall currently. The departures hall initially has a café and a check-in counter, but they will be relocated to make room for a bag drop counter within next year.

By contrast, the security passport control and passport control customs will remain unchanged.
