Some people view teenage conflict with their parents as a necessary of growing up, whilst others view it as something negative which should be avoided.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
There are many arguments about whether conflicts between children and their parents are good or not. While there are a lot of strong arguments against the conflicts, I still believe that conflicts play an essential role in the development of children.
There are several reasons why some people suppose that conflicts should be avoided. Firstly, conflicts in especially early development period of a child can result in a lot of long-term negative consequences. If a child usually argues with their parents, they may become a bad-tempered person who easily gets angry with other people. Secondly, bad memories about childhood can have several bad influences on the ways the children behave towards their family members when they get older. They might not want to talk and spend their time with their family, which can break the relationships among the members in the long term.
In spite of the above arguments, I still suppose that conflicts are necessary for the growing-up process of a child. First of all, conflicts between teenagers and their parents show that they failed to share the same opinion. It means they were attempting to comprehend each other, which is truly a sign of love. Moreover, arguments make all of the family members speak up and share their opinions to not only change the attitude and behavior of the children but also the parents’. If the parenting style of parents is improper to their children, the children need to tell their parents so that all of them can cross the bad situations together. In my view, it is significant for all of the family members to understand each other and make necessary changes.
In conclusion, conflicts definitely have some drawbacks, but I believe that the benefits outweigh them in the long term. Parents should manage to make arguments useful in raising their children.
