The maps below show an inductrial area in the town of norbiton, and planned future development of the site.

My report

The two pictures compare the layout of an industrial town called Norbiton with its proposed design for the future

Overall, the town in question will go through several alterations, with the appearance of many new amenities including houses, shops and a medical centre

Looking at the maps in more detail, there are now 8 factories located in the centre of the town, but the plan is to replace these with social housing to accommodate more citizens. It is expected that stores and a new medical centre will also be available, and these facilities will be placed near the residential area, on either side of the largest roundabout.

Regarding the eastern side of the town, a new school will be built. Not only that, a playground is predicted to be put in the northeast, right between the school and the current roundabout. In terms of the north, the current farmland will be moved eastwards, making way for a bridge to be added across the north river. As well as that, another residential area will be located at the end of the new path that links this area with the central town.
