Please help me check my ielts writing task 2

Topic 1: It is generally believed that some people are born with certain talents, for instance for sport or music, and others are not. However, it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good sports person or musician.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Natural talent is an inborn gift for a particular activity such as music, art, or sport. For many years, there has been an argument about the role of talent in one’s success. Vast majority of people insist that in order to become a skilled musician or sport player the most important thing we need is talent. While others believe children can effectively be taught to be successful in these fields.

It is true that someone has innate talent which is inherited via their genes. They might find it easy to play a musical instrument or perform in a certain sport because they acquire skills readily with less practice or hard work than average person. This statement comes from the achievement of some very famous musicians like Mozart, Beethoven or some accomplished football players such as Ronaldo or Messi. Most of us believe that such those clever people must have natural talent which others don’t have.

In the other hand, some people think with a qualified teacher and a suitable method children can completely be taught to acquire some certain skills, including those relevant to music or sport. They claimed that hard working is more important to be successful because without it talent is useless.

I personal think that it quite hard for people who do not have innate ability to become a skillful musician or sports person. However, that is still possible if they are patient and try hard enough. In other words, without talent it might not be easy for you at first, but don’t give up your dream, work hard can make up for talent. I strongly believe talent cannot be built and grown without practice. If someone has talent but does not work hard regularly, things do not go the way they would expect to be. In fact, people that do not have talent can succeed with regular practice in contrast talented one cannot unless they practice hard continually. For example, when we see a fine piece of music we often think the artist must be really talented. We come to this conclusion because we just judge the end result. We tend to forget about the process and the journey getting such high qualification. In order to get that point the artist may have been practicing for many years. In that case hard work plays a huge role, regardless of whether he or she is naturally gifted or not.

In conclusion, I think hard word contributes more to one’s success than talent does. Talent should only be considered as a motivation which encourages people to pursue their career. From my personal experiences I believe the key of success is practicing.
