People have differing views with regard to enterprise’s responsibilities besides making a profit. In my view, I completely agree that businesses should make money while doing for society.

On the one hand, if companies make more money, they will pay more taxes. It will contribute substantially to the national budget. Therefore, the government can construct houses for homeless people, investing in buying medical equipment, and developing the quality of education. Furthermore, businesses that make more money can give more job opportunities for a range of people. This is a pretty good solution for eliminating the rate of unemployment rapidly. In other words, the more profit of each company, the higher the GDP structure ratio of a country.

On the other hand, I absolutely certain that business should take part in some project which is helpful for the community because they have a wide role to play in society. For instance, if they make a profit, they can put money through charity and scholarships for poor children. A number of the big groups all over the world such as Vinamilk, Unilever,... every year, they all give books, toys or clothes for Vietnamese students and some other countries. Not only children but also worker, they should pay a “living wage” to ensure that workers have a good quality of life. The most reason why companies should do positive activities for the community is that their maximizing profit has an effect on the environment. For example, pesticides factories manufacture enormous emissions every year. It is harmful to the breathing and the health of people, so they must have responsibilities for society.

To sum up, I strongly suppose that companies should pay attention to do charity as well as they do on their making money.
