Topic: the maps below show the village of Stokefold in 1930 and 2010. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison where relevant.
Both above-shown maps illustrate the diffenrences of Stokeford village between 1930 and 2010. Overall, the village had a number of significant changes in terms of modernizations over a period of 80 years from 1930 to 2010, whereas the natural scene remained unchanged.
The most conspicuous change can be easyly noticed is traffic road system. In 1930 was just a single road but 80 years later a big traffic road system was built, including a main road conecting with an U-shaped road and three small- added secondary roads. Along side of the road was an increasing number of houses. The number of houses in Stolkford in 2010 were six times larger compared with those of which in 1930. This resulted to the destroying of the two farm lands, one located in the Eastern of the Stolkford river's bank another was built in the Northeast of the village, replaced by residental area.
On the left side of the main road was an old shop destroyed and a secondary road conecting with the main road was built.The post office nearby had no sign of chance. The primary school was also destroyed for a better school-upgrading. The new one had an U-shaped structure. The garden was abolished and a retirement house was established, tied with the main road by a secondary one. The lanscspe of the river remained unchanged.
