Thread: Somepeople think that it is best to live in a horizontal city while others think of a vertical city. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Nowadays, accommodation is one of complicated issues. While many people want to live in a horizontal city, others like to live in a city which has many high building. From my point of view, I agree to the second opinion, living in a vertical city.

There are variety benefits when living in a horizontal city. First, fee of building service is not too much. Therefore, citizens can save money to do for other things. This is not significant with the rich, but this is very necessary with people who have a low income. Second, living in horizontal city is safer than that in vertical city. In this cities, the emergencies are easily controlled, comparison with cities with many high building.

On the other hand, I think there are many advantages when living in a verticalcity. First, the infrastructure is good and can response many needs of citizens. The more high building the city has, the more development the city shows. The high buildings in this cities always have many modern service such as: supermarket, gym centre, restaurant, pool and many other services. Second, we can use efficiently land. It is getting more and more people in the world. Overpopulation is an important problem. I think the high buildings is a good solution to solve a part of overpopulation’s consequence. From those reasons, I believe living in a vertical city is better than that in a horizontal city.

Both of the opinions are right but i think living in a city that have many high building is better than living in a horizontal city.
