Essay topics: Some people believe that crime is a result of social problems and poverty, others think that crime is a result of bad person’s nature. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

The issue of crime has largely raised public concern about its increasing seriousness. While some people support that social problems and poverty has pushed people to the situation of commiting crime, others accuse bad behaviours of innate natures of offenders. Personally, I suggest that both of these could be the cause of crime.

On the one hand, there are several evidences from the reality demonstrating that crimes results from initial natures of criminals. First, it is clear that some children are born with psychological problems related to the huge desire for doing harm to other people. With that characeristics, as they mature, they ere likely to commit crimes without concerning to satisfy their crazy ambitions. Second, lazy adults who do not take a job to earn their own livings have motives to disobey the law. Holding a irrealistic hope of having money without working, they would choose to earn easy money by deceiving others or stealing their properties.

On the other hand, criminals could be the result of social problems and poverty. In developing countries, crimes probably occur much m?e frequently in comparison with developed counterparts because a large number of people living there are living in poverty-stricken conditions. Almose all of those people are underprevileidged or unemployed ones who could not find a job or their current salaries could not meet their basic demands of daily life. Additionally, other social issues such as domestic violence can pave the way for crimes to develop. For example, if a child is brought up in a family that violence occurs, he could be strongly affected by the image of violence, follow that bad behaviour as well as consider it a normal thing.

In conclusion, from my viewpoint, crime is not only a problem of induviduals but also a serious issue of the society and their living conditions
