People have different views with regard to the question of who should be responsible for making children become good people. In my view, both parents and schools should take full responsibility for this mission.
One the one hand, there is a range of reason why parents should show their kids how to behave as a good person. Firstly, fathers and mothers alike have much close time with their kids and they deeply understand about the characteristics of their kids, so it is easier to teach children by realistic lessons. For example, parents could teach their kids to help elderly people crossing the roads. Secondly, kids always listen and follow their parents’ instructions rather than other people. Finally, parents can show siblings as a good model for their young kids, this will definitely help them to behave with others well.
On the other hand, it is no doubt to say that schools are the best place to learn anything. Teachers normally have many experiences and teaching skills – the key factors to help children learn to be good people faster. Also, class will play a role as a real small scale society, and classmates will be the members of this society, this is a good environment for children to practice what they have been learning. In addition to this, punishments in schools will help tough children follow their teachers and raise up their performance.
In conclusion, it is much better for children to be morally educated by both teachers and their parents.
