Please help me.

I'm an advanced English learner. I used to learn each word quite means I learn all the different meanings which it has in different situations and also all the idioms and phrasal verbs related to that word. For example I read a PDF file and find a word that I'm not familiar with it, the word "Associate" for example. This word exists in the noun, the verb and the adjective forms. I try to read the whole different meanings of it also their examples using Longman dictionary.
My problem is that I can't organize this method efficiently. There are thousand words. I can't use most of them in my writings. I forgot the word's usage frames and also their related Idioms.
Please guide me through this. I need a compregensive method. Do I need to write an example for each word and read them from time to time (creating a personal dictionary consists of only examples for each different usage of the word ?????? Please help me. Don't teach me methods like Flash Card or so. I'm an advanced learner and those methods don't work for me. Thanks

Just be patient. English has an incredibly rich lexicon, and even native speakers have to look up words occasionally. Read a lot - the more you immerse yourself in the language, the more natural it will come to you.
