Please help me

Dear all, Please correct this if there have any errors.

Write a letter to the principal asking for a week’s leave, stating the reason.

Respected Madam,
This is to inform you that I shall not be able to attend school from the 30th Jan to 7th Feb on account of my brother’s marriage ceremony.
Since my whole family is travelling to Delhi, I shall also be going with them. It will take us a week to get the marriage solemnized and to return to Kolkata. I shall be extremely greatful if you could grant me leave of absence for a week from 30th Jan to 7th Feb and oblige. An invitation card is attached with this application for your reference.
Thank you
Yours obediently,
Neelam
