Fandorin, thank you very much for your help. In:"You preferred a package tour because of the low prices", you said it seemed to be a question. But my intention is an affirmative sentence. Is it wrong, please?

Thanks again,

I would say in some other way, or just relocate the clauses. The sentence itself implies the assertion for listener to agree with. There is nothing wrong with it. It just might be personal preferences.

Because of the low prices, you preferred a package tour.

You're welcome.
