please help make sound natural

Can you please better this to sound natural?

If you put 2 glasses underneath the faucet side by side with one slightly more underneath the faucet so that both glasses can fill up, the one more underneath, getting more of the jet from the faucet will fill up faster.

Thanks beforehand

That is very good. Nobody around here would say "jet" there, but it is a perfectly good word for that, and I am sure there are a lot of places where it would sound perfectly natural. " Write out single-digit numbers, usually.

It sounds nearly tautological to me.

The faster water is poured into a glass, the faster the glass fills with water.
