Though both degree and diploma programs offered by Royal College of Canada have the same fee, I opted for diploma program because upon completion I can transfer or pursue a range of degree programs in Canadian or international universities that Royal College has transfer arrangements with. I thought that this program will give me sufficient time to think through the exact degree I want to obtain. Also as diploma programs are less onerous I will have sufficient time to get adjusted to Western academic culture and environment. Questions: 1: Is the above paragraph correct? Would you like to suggest something? 2: Does Western also apply to North American culture particularly USA and Canada from the point of view of a person living in Asia?
