Students learn far more with their teachers than other sources (Internet or television). To what extent, do you agree or disagree?
--------------------------------------------------------
Many people believe that learning with teachers is much better than the other sources of knowledge. While I do not deny the role of teachers, I would not agree that students would assimilate more knowledge from teachers than books or the internet.
It is undeniable that teachers play a vital role to their students. Firstly, teachers are not just a tool of transmission of knowledge. Teachers have a huge impact on pupils as they do not only teach but they also confide in them their own life experiences. Secondly, face-to-face learning imposes discipline on students and help them solve their own problems in studies faster. Finally, being conducted by a teacher is much easier than finding a learning style on their own.
There are several reasons why I believe that students would gain more knowledge from the other sources. First of all, books, the internet or any other sources of knowledge are the ways people save their comprehension over million years from the beginning of the human being. However, it is quite difficult to find a teacher who has the ability to master most of these knowledge. Second of all, thank to the advances in technology, students can perform distance learning at whenever, in wherever they want. Thus, learners can exert themselves and find a learning style which suits them. Moreover, they could reduce their dependence on teachers as well.
In conclusion, despite the essential role of teacher, I would argue that pupils could gain much more knowledge from the other sources such as the internet, books or television.
