Please help explan one time and one times

Dear teacher.

Q1:

I eat an apple (one time / one times) a day.

If it is correct to use one times, then when can we use one time to make a sentence.

or Maybe both are ok in this sentence.

Q2

Why the writer uses the words “one time” in blue as the below.

“This happens about three times (two times at night and one time when he comes back from the drycleaner).”

Thanks so much ahead of time. Jacky Lin. February 22th 2011.

Impossible!

It is very unusual to say "one time"; the normal way to express it is "once".

I eat an apple once a day. (= I eat an apple one time a day.)

"two times" is expressed as "twice":

I eat an apple twice a day. (= I eat an apple two times a day.)

Any number above two is expressed with "time
