Please help correctly express

How would you correctly express the bold?

The show begins at what appears to be the end of the show. After the first scene, the scene shifts to six months earlier. Throughout the first season, the series plays with time. *The narrative switches back and forth between a traditional linear narrative of events happening in "the past" and a more temporally disjointed narrative of events happening in "the present." being "the flashforwards" to which only the audience is privy. As the season progresses, you see more of the flash forwards of the last scene until by the end of the first season the main narrative of the show has "caught up" with the flash forwards and most of the questions raised by them are resolved.*

Thanks in advance

Sorry about that - on my screen nothing appeared in bold.
I'd only make a few changes. There is no need for quotation marks since the terms are not reported speech. Otherwise, just a few ideas have been rephrased. Hope this helps.
