The essay

===

As the old adage goes, change is inevitable. It is often for better and cannot be done overnight, which means it could takes much effort. If there could be onething that I need to change for my home town, would want to change allcorrupt practices and political unrest existing in my country at the present. Inthis essay, I'd like to give my reasons for above statements in following sentences.

Corruption is part of Thai society for very long time and takes place at every level in government from front-office clerks to minister. For example, this can happen in a way that contracts of government projects can be bought by companies involved in bidding processes, which can be harmful for developmentof country. Yet, some groups of people even believe that corrupt government can be accepted as long as it can make them eat and sleep well through some corrupt government's populist policy. That can be very wrong idea because in reality there is no such country in the world that prospers by corruption.Therefore, I'd like to get rid of corruption for a good future in both economy and quality of life for the whole country.

As one of the consequences of corruption, political unrest has continued to grow and now become a big problem in my country. The root cause of the problem actually is the fight between factions within political elites for power. People from grass-rooted level have been used as a political mean for personal benefit of money politician. The prolonged protest has been dragged on and is unlikely to come to the end. That only chases away foreign investors and tourists from the country, resulting in significant doubt over economic outlook.

To sum up, thoughts on what you want to change for your hometown for each individual may vary from one person to another. As for me, it may be the best for my country if we were able to prevent corruption to occur at any level of government beaurocracy. In my opinion, solving of corruption problem should be carried out at fundamental level, such as educating grass-rooted level people and strengthening legal measures on Anti-corruption. More importantly, all people in Thai society need to be actively cooperative with authority in monitoring and gathering ideas for stopping all corrupt practices in the country.
