Topic: "The primary goal of technological advancement should be to increase people's efficiency so that everyone has more leisure time."
I can present a good example to support my position that technological advancement didn't create more leisure time. However, can I use the example like "advance in medical technolgy helps prevent diseases, cure diseases and enable people to enjoy longevity" to argue that to increase people's efficiencyy is not the primary goal of technogical advancement?
Thank you so much for you time.

I think that will be fine, if you define 'efficiency' first.

That is what I confuse with, Mr. Micawber. I don't know if the effect to prevent diseases or cure diseases of the advancement in medical technology fits in the range of "the definition of efficiency", even though I checked my dictionary.
