Here is the context.
A Chinese man is caught with a fake passport at an Australian airport by the border security. He had a fake Chinese passport and was trying to enter Australia. He reveals during interrogation that his wife also came with him and the border security officer suspected that she also had a fake Chinese passport but she somehow didn’t get caught. The officer asks the following questions to the Chinese man showing a picture of his claimed wife taken from the security camera.
Officer: You stated that you are traveling with your wife. Can you tell me how long you have been married?
Chinese man: 12 years.
Officer: Is she your wife? (Showing the picture)
Chinese man: Yes.
Officer: Do you believe she would be waiting for you at the airport or would she have left?
Chinese man: I don’t know.
What kind of woulds are in the questions? They are definitely not second/third conditional woulds. Are they would of probability?
