I am having problems diciding whether the time refers to the present, past, future or all three.

So ok, these are past tense sentences. But the answers were not selected as such. If I am guessing correctly, the exercise was asking for the correct tense the sentences were written in.

Yeah. The bold words are his answers. But his post was disordered.

Hi,

I think the purpose of this exercise is that one should look at the verb in each sentence and then decide if it relates to the past, or the present, or the future,or combinations of these.

eg My train leaves tomorrow. Select 'future'.

It doesn't actually seem to me like a well thought out exercise.

What has the original poster got to say about this?
