Please grade my Ielts task 2

Learning about the past has no value for those of us living in the present.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Moving forward to the future was indeed the essential element for the revolution of the human. Thinking that people tend to forget or despised the important of the past. Every achievement has been making by human only possible base on the experience that we have been learning from the past.

Firstly, humans are curious creature yet we tend to avoid mistake and we accumulate knowledge and experience based on historical events of our ancestors. Reflecting our actions with the outcomes from the past that has similar decisions and situations, analysis the advantages and disadvantages that could have occurred to avoid repeating the same mistakes. For example, residences tend to built far away from areas with natural disasters, otherwise, necessary plans will be brought up to avoid damages. Another example, the world nowadays will try to keep the peace and avoid conflict as much as possible since everybody knows what could have lost if the wars happen again.

Revolution needs the first step before making next one, similar to all the future discoveries will never happen if the last inventors have not been found. The Internet is an example when people transport voices through telephone and got the similar idea for transport data. Mobile phones appeared because they want a telephone which can put in their pocket. Those are two sample from billion inventors has been made base on discoveries from the past. Without learning the past, there is no future ahead.

On another hand, there are some drawbacks when individuals too cling to the past. The fear of making the same mistake sometimes will hold back people to make their decisions, although they are more prepared and have more advantages than the last time. The world sometimes even fear to make their next move on new revolution and keep excused by the failure of some experiments in the past.

To summarise, learning from the past indeed necessary for evolution since we can make more wisely choice. In my opinion, history learning should hold an essential position in our education system. Yet, scientists should take history as the sample, not an excuse for their fear the new thing and slow back human revolution.
